Terms of Use

Welcome to immi (“Platform”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our platform, which enables users to share updates and communicate with friends and family (“Service”). Supplemental documents such as our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines are also incorporated into Platform regulations.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.

1. Intended Usage

immi is intended to be used to create and share updates with close friends and family (“contacts”). Users can share media with their contacts and interact directly with them. Updates will be sent to the recipients that users select, while responses will only be between the respondent and original update sender. 

2. Usage Eligibility

Users must be of the legal age to use social networks according to their local regulations. immi does not track location information, so the user is responsible for adhering to local regulations. immi does not knowingly allow minors to create or operate accounts. 

3. User Conduct

Users can not use the Platform for unlawful or fraudulent purposes. Users may not interfere with the operation or security of the Platform. Users may not impersonate another individual on the platform.Users can add contacts, share updates, message with contacts, edit their profile, and change display names for contacts. Users can not name themselves something offensive, inflammatory, or provocative. Similarly, they may not use a profile image that falls under these same criteria. Users may not change a contact’s local display on the user’s phone to anything under those criteria as well. Users may not share contact’s updates with others, including a screenshot or recording of a contact’s update and post it as their own. Any user conduct or content that violates these Terms or our referenced Community Guidelines (Supplemental documents such as our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines are also incorporated into Platform regulations ) may be reported by other users through the in-app reporting tools. immi will review all such reports and may take action as described in the Community Guidelines, including content removal, account suspension, or bans. Our right to remove or suspend users who are not using the app in 'good spirit' remains at our sole discretion.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain all ownership rights in and to your User Content (updates, messages, photos, videos, or other media). However, by submitting or posting User Content on the Platform, you hereby grant to immi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and perform the User Content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Platform and the Service. This includes, without limitation, the right to share your updates with your designated contacts and to display your content to facilitate the core functions of the Platform. This license terminates when you delete your User Content or delete your account, though you acknowledge that residual copies may remain on backup servers for a limited period of time.

6. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or reliability of the Platform or User Content. Your use of the Platform is at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, immi and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless immi and its affiliates from any claims, losses, or damages arising out of your content or use of the Platform. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration. You waive any right to participate in a class action.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to take any enforcement action, including suspension or termination, at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. You may delete your account at any time.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes, and your continued use of the Platform after the update constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
