Welcome to immi (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile app (“Platform” or “Service”), and outlines your rights under applicable data protection laws including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

1. Information Collection

We collect information from you directly including: name, email address, username, display name, password, profile photo, updates, messages, and contacts you connect to. We collect information from your device automatically including: device information (e.g., device ID, operating system, mobile carrier), IP address, usage data (interactions, session length, crash logs), and cookies and similar tracking technologies. We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data such as biometric, health, or precise geolocation data. If such features are introduced, we will request your explicit consent where required.

2. Information Usage

We use your information minimally. The information collected is used to: create and manage your account, deliver a personalized user experience, show relevant connections and content, analyze trends and app usage, enforce our [Terms of Use], communicate updates, support, or promotional materials (where permitted).

3. Information Sharing and Third Parties

Your information is private and we will not share it with anyone. We believe privacy is a crucial part of an online presence, and we take your privacy seriously. We may share your information with: service providers (hosting services, push notifications), other users (your profile, posts, etc., as you approve), law enforcement (if required by law or to protect rights and safety), or business partners or buyers (if we merge, acquire, or are acquired).

In the situation that an external link is shared with you on the Platform, and you click on that link, you are leaving our Service and will be subject to the external service’s privacy policy.

We use cookies and similar technologies to: analyze user behavior and app performance, save your preferences, and deliver a smoother experience.

You will be presented with a cookie consent banner on your first visit. You can manage or withdraw consent at any time through your device or account settings.

5. User Rights 

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

Under GDPR: Right to access your data, right to rectification, right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”), right to restrict processing, right to data portability, right to object to processing, right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

Under CCPA/CPRA: Right to know what personal data we collect and how it is used, right to request deletion of your personal data, right to opt-out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights

Under PIPEDA: You may request to be informed of the existence, use, and disclosure of your personal information and be given access to that information. You may challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and have it amended as appropriate.

Under UK GDPR: You may be informed about how your data is being used, access personal data, have incorrect data updated, have data erased, stop or restrict the processing of your data,  data portability (allowing you to get and reuse your data for different services), object to how your data is processed in certain circumstances.

6. Data Security 

We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards, including: data encryption at rest and in transit, secure storage, and encrypted transmissions.

However, no system is completely secure. You use the Platform at your own risk.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as: your account is active, it is needed to provide services, or it is required to comply with legal obligations. We will securely delete or anonymize your data when it is no longer needed.

8. International Data Transfer

If you are located outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. or other countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as: data encryption at rest, data encryption in transit, secure storage, and encrypted transmissions. Standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, transfers to countries with adequate data protection laws.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13 (or 16 where required by law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without verified parental consent. If we become aware of such data collection, we will delete it immediately.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or email. Please review the updated policy regularly.
